Scotty Cameron is probably the putter that is most consistently named as an answer to this question right now. Lots of tour players playing them this year. A couple other hot names are Odyssey and White Hot.

That said, it really only matters what feels best to you. Drivers and putters are the two clubs that are most personal to a golfer. If you don't feel comfortable and confident with the club in your hand, it's not worth a dime.

See if you can find a local pro shop or sporting goods store that will let you demo their clubs, and try as many as you can! Concentrate on the weight and feel, the sound and feedback at impact, and of course how well the ball responds to your putting action.

The main differences:

Length of shaft - do you prefer a traditional length, or the longer "belly" putters?

Blade vs Mallet - most models are being produced in both a narrow blade format as well as the thicker mallet style. See which one you respond best to.
